I've read recently that oversharing is a millennial thing–oversharing as in kvetching about trauma and past mistakes and reenacting them every moment they can with people they aren't well-acquainted with.
Or worse, sharing traumatic secrets with people who are definitely interested in more with said person yet they've suddenly found themselves waist-deep in the confessional sandbox where they inevitably wind up getting turned off by the oversharing.
"What did I do?" they ask after they've been ghosted.
